Taylor 7322 Lithium Electronic Scale
I bought a Taylor 7322 Lithium Electronic Scale thirteen months ago from Target for about $25. For the first year, I was very pleased with the bathroom scale, but a month ago, it stopped working properly.
The scale is white, with a 12" by 12" footprint. The digital display features black numbers that are 1" tall. When it worked properly, I was very pleased with consistent readings that reported to the nearest half pound (there's also a kilogram mode).
The scale's drawbacks are that the foot print is too small for someone with a larger foot. I wear a men's 10.5 shoe, and frankly I thought the scale was too small. Also, the digital display was too small to read without my glasses. And of course, the twelve month lifespan proved quite disappointing.
In ordering a new scale, I am trying to address some of the drawbacks. After a little looking, I plan to order a Thinner Scale by Conair TH100. The scale will set me back $23 on Amazon, but it is analog, and so should last many years, rather than the 1-2 years you normally get with a digital scale. Also, the Thinner Scale is 17" tall and 13" wide, large enough to accommodate my man-feet. Finally, the display is a 6" dial, so I don't expect any issues reading the dial... especially after the lasik surgery that corrected my vision to 20/20.
Torben Review rating of Taylor 7322 Lithium Electronic Scale: 2 of 5 stars
